Good Morning Students.
Hope you have revised the previous topics and completed the work.
In the previous blogs we learnt about the FEEDING HABITS of different animals.
By the end of today's class, you'll be able to:
- State the needs due to which animals need to move.
- Enumerate upon the different organs of movement.
Today's Topic- MOVEMENT IN ANIMALS
Why do animals move?
They move for the following reasons:
*In search for food.
*to protect itself from enemies.
*to build a home or look for a shelter where it can rest and breed.
Animals have different types of body parts or limbs for movement and different ways of moving from one place to another.

Aquatic Animals
All water animals swim by paddling and pushing water. Different animals use different organs for swimming.
Fish
- They use fins for movement.
- The paired fins help them to move forward.
- The unpaired fins help them to keep their balance.
- The tail and fins is used to change direction.

- They use their feet for walking on land.
Insects
Most insects use their legs to move.
Insects have six legs.
GRASSHOPPER- uses its long hind legs for hopping.

Lice, bugs,
termites -
do not have wings, they move by crawling.
Many insects have only one or two pair of wings which they use to fly in the air.
